On Friday, March 7th, 2008, we will be upgrading our shared hosting customers to an improved web hosting solution. As part of this move to the new platform, we will be introducing some exciting new hosting tools and features to your package including powerful customer communication tools and access to a gallery of 3,000 professionally designed website templates.

What is the impact to my site?

As you may have noticed, there is currently a “freeze period” of your site content, which began Wednesday, February 27th, 2008. During this period you should not make updates to your site content. This freeze period is in place to ensure no data is lost during the migration to the new platform and your site will be unfrozen the evening of March 7th.   All database changes will be re-synced on Friday March 7th at 5pm EST, this will eliminate any data loss.

 

Customers are recommended to POP their mail.  Download mail from the mail server using your existing email client such as Outlook, and hit Send Receive.  You should download as much as possible leading up to Friday March 7pm on Friday, or do so before leaving the office.  Please note: on the new platform the email passwords are minimum 4 characters, maximum 8 characters.  Current passwords will be truncated, therefore no changes are required.
